Elizabeth Alford

Elizabeth graduated with Honours in Law in Nankai University - one of China's premier universities. She worked in the legal sector and lecturing and practising law at Tianjin Political and Law College as well as in Communications and PR in the manufacturing sector. Following a passion for travel she came to Britain to complete her MSc in Tourism Management where she developed a keen interest in the role which communications plays in the experiential tourism industry. This interest and flair for communicating through design led to a job as a graphic designer with one of Luton's main employers - MTL Instruments Group plc. After 3 years building solid design experience, Elizabeth decided to 'go it alone' and launched her own companywhere she contintued to offer freelance work to MTL as well as other companies in the area including Hitech Ltd.  She has developped web design skills as well as expertise on e-mail maketing and SEO through various solution-driven online marketing projects. From 2003-6, she became East of England regional service partner for Tiscover, the leading supplier of destination management systems to the tourism industry, providing web design, training and e-marketing services to tourist boards and hotels throughout the region. Worked closely with East of England, using Content Management System, she had designed and maintained tourism web sites for Chelmsford Visitor Information Centre, Maldon District, Colchester Information Centre, Clacton Tourist Information Centre, Tendering District Council, Harwich Connexions Tourist Information Centre and Peterborough Tourist Information Centre. She had also invited by East of England to run e-marketing work shop to train for their staff.  In recent years, She has been invited by Bournemouth University to give talks and training on online marketing, e.g. SEO, e-mail marketing, social media etc. Her fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese has brought much success in web site localization in these two languages. 

Werner Gschwenter

Werner is an Internet marketing expert with more than 20 years of training and consultancy experience in Internet marketing. He was the key trainer of the Tiscover content management system throughout Austria, German, Italy, Switzerland, UK and South Africa. His knowledge and experience in Tourism and e-marketing greatly contributed to the successful development of our Content Management System solution tailored to suit a wide range of service-oriented businesses. Werner is fluent in German and English.

Bernhard Wehinger

An excellent web developer and engineer, Bernhard had studied and worked in Website engineering, Design Internet Technology and Database since the early 90s. He has years of experience developing sophisticated web sites and is the brain behind our Content Management System! No technical problem is a problem for Bernhard - he can always find a solution!

Dr. Philip Alford

Dr. Alford works for Maple Communication in an advisory capacity. He is a Senior Lecturer of Bournemouth University and a Visiting Professor at ESSEC Business School in Paris. He has taught, researched and engaged in enterprise in information technology in the travel and tourism industry since 1995 and has vast knowledge and experience in e-Marketing and e-Tourism. Dr. Alford's expert advice has enabled us to design and develop innovative solutions. One of his roles is to help ensure that our solutions our client-led rather than technology-led - an issue he felt so passionate about that he decided to devoted 6 years of his life to getting a PhD in it!
